5 IDEAS FOR A BETTER YOU
Productivity
Reclaim your mornings to take charge of your life. This is an idea that is time-tested. The earlier you begin your day regularly, the better your entire day turns out.
An early start to the day is the best way to minimize surprises and plan things in advance.
It helps you to generate mental and physical energy for the day through workouts, meditation, or reading.
It helps you to control a few things in your life before the affairs of the world and work takes control of your time.
Fitness
Fitness is not equal to weight loss.
Fitness means you are physically as well as mentally fit, inside and outside.
You focus on fitness not to look better and impress the world.
You do it to impress yourself with peak level fitness and energy needed to accomplish your goals without distressing your physical body or mental health.
Mental Health
If you are not perfect, why do you expect perfection from others?
No one is perfect. Period.
Embrace the imperfections of others to nourish relationships.
Be humble, be sincere, and be forgiving.
This is the way to preserve your well-being by keeping your mental space free of negativity and by accepting the way people are, not the way you want them to be.
Personal Finance
Pay yourself first. This is the secret mantra to all personal finance success stories.
Whatever you earn, pay 10% to yourself first before allocating a budget for anything else.
This is your money to invest for the long term.
And this is the way you can save and invest with any small or big earnings.
Habit Building
You may be motivated to build a habit.
But unless you take the first step to do that thing, all your motivation is useless.
Taking the first step and following a process to regularize it is the secret to building and maintaining habits.
It is a boring way to become successful at anything.
1 INSPIRATION TO CHARGE YOU UP
There was a cobra that lived under a tree and was notorious for biting people passing through that tree. The villagers and travellers who had to pass through that tree were always fearful.
One day a saint was passing through that village. The villagers warned him about the snake.
He still went on his way and reached the tree.
The snake hissed and threatened to bite him.
The saint didn’t fear the snake and asked him about what was he getting by biting so many people. He told the snake that his bad deeds were resulting in bad karma and he would have to suffer later due to this.
The snake realized his mistake and told the saint that henceforth he would not bite anyone.
The villagers were very happy to see a reformed snake.
Slowly, some young boys realized that the snake doesn’t bite and they started throwing stones at the snake.
It was hurting it badly but because of the promise made to the saint, it was not biting the boys.
After a year, the saint was again passing through the tree.
He saw the snake with multiple injuries on the body.
He asked him the reason behind it.
The snake told him about his ordeal.
The saint said that he was not supposed to bite but no one had stopped it from hissing and frightening the people to stay away from it.
It is important to indulge in good deeds but if others don’t treat you fairly, you have every right to protect yourself without giving up on your goodness.
1 THING YOU MUST TRY NEXT WEEK
Starting today, for one week, resolve to focus on solutions, not problems.
Whenever a problem comes, if it is solvable, focus on finding the solution.
If it is unsolvable, accept it as it is, and don’t waste your time on it.
Do it for just one week.
If you notice any difference in your productivity, adopt this mindset again next week!
